My understanding of the body is heavily influenced by my trainings and studies in Somatics. This means that I am tracking carefully the way that body processes are affecting sensation and emotional wellness. Special attention is placed on noticing nervous system states and facilitating the smooth and rhythmic shifting between these states. For example, shoulder tension may be rooted in a thwarted response or emotion. A Somatic-focused session is fluid and dynamic in accordance with what is being presented. A session could include, talk, sensation tracking, touch, and guided movement.
